Hello Families,

Please remember there is no school for students tomorrow as it is a non-instructional day. School resumes on Monday November 23rd.

Your children have created some excellent posters in Literacy on elephants. They have also been writing 1st person accounts as a character from the story, The One and Only Ivan. In math we continued with division this week. Students definitely benefit when they know they multiplication tables. In science, we focused on biodegradable materials, as well as food preservation, both past and present. We examined the origins of our national emblem, the beaver, in social studies, and researched why it was so valuable for the settlers who immigrated to Canada, and how it was hunted to near extinction. We continue to work on our music projects researching Canadian artists and musicians. In health we focused on how 'joy' is a choice, and how it affects how we feel.

Thank you for your continued support with winter clothing - it is certainly getting cold out there. Please stay safer and warm this weekend.
